As soon as you complete a trade or job — or a complaint, dispute or report is raised against you — your profile cannot be deleted or removed from the system. This protects the people you deal with: it prevents anyone from erasing their record to escape accountability, even when the other party left no rating. Please ensure all your personal details are accurate and that you are comfortable before trading.

Star ratings here are left by verified employers and buyers after a completed job or trade — they cannot be added by you. Ratings of ⭐⭐ 2 stars or below apply a 5% penalty to this profile's score (and 1% to each linked referee).

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of CHECKLL, including its trust scoring engine, escrow service, digital wallet, marketplace, and all related features (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
CHECKLL is a character and trust intelligence platform that helps individuals and businesses verify the reliability and professional credibility of people they work with. It provides:
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the wallet, escrow, and marketplace features.
The Platform does not require a username or password. Your session is identified by a unique ID stored in your browser's localStorage. You are responsible for the security of your device.
You must provide accurate, truthful information including your full name, date of birth, occupation, country, and city. Submitting false identity information is a material breach of these Terms.
Profile listing & visibility (consent). By generating your Trust Score report, you consent to your public profile — your name, occupation, city/country and public Trust Score — being listed in CHECKLL's searchable directory, so that verified employers, lenders and insurers can find you. Your full report and supporting documents remain private and are disclosed only to parties you specifically approve.
Scores are computed from five weighted components (max 10.00 points):
| Component | Weight | Max |
|---|---|---|
| C1 · Referee Ratings | 50% | 5.00 |
| CD · Relationship Depth (how long referees have known them) | 10% | 1.00 |
| C2 · Referee Proof Docs | 25% | 2.50 |
| C3 · Referee Photos | 5% | 0.50 |
| C4 · Client Profile Docs (selfie + ID + address) | 10% | 1.00 |
Referee ratings are collected across five character dimensions: Responsible with other people’s money, Reliable (keeps commitments & deadlines), Honest and truthful, Accountable (takes responsibility), and Respectful and safe toward others — each rated 1–10.
For every low-star (≤2) employer/buyer feedback received, your score is reduced by 5% multiplicatively.
Each profile supports up to 5 referees. Each referee may provide an ID proof and a relationship proof document to maximise the score contribution. You must obtain consent from each referee before submitting their personal information.
You must not falsify, inflate, or fabricate referee ratings. Doing so constitutes fraud and is a material breach of these Terms.
Electronic signatures & consent. Referee declarations are signed electronically. By typing your full legal name and confirming, you consent to sign electronically and adopt that typed name as your signature, agreeing it carries the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature. Each electronic signature is bound to the signer's verified identity (selfie and ID), the consent given, and a date-and-time stamp. You also consent to receive related records electronically.
If a seller cancels an active escrow after funds are held, a 50% score reduction (×0.50) is applied — labelled "TRADE CANCELLED". Recovers after 5 successful completions.
If a buyer falsely disputes delivery and the seller provides a valid sign-off document, funds are force-released and the buyer receives a 25% score reduction (×0.75) — labelled "POOR BUYER". Recovers after 5 successful purchases.
Multiple penalties stack multiplicatively: Score × 0.50 × 0.75. Each penalty recovers independently.
The Escrow Service protects buyers by holding payment until delivery is confirmed. Escrow status flows: Awaiting Agreement → Held → In Transit → Released. In dispute: In Transit → Delivery Disputed → Force-Released.
Buyers may fund escrow via wallet balance, debit/credit card, or mobile money. Both parties must agree before the delivery timer starts.
If a buyer falsely claims non-receipt, the seller may upload a delivery sign-off document to trigger a force-release. The Platform is not a licensed escrow or payment institution.
Each session has a digital wallet (USD default) for funding escrow and receiving released payments. Deposits accepted via card or mobile money. Funds committed to escrow are held and unavailable for withdrawal until the escrow resolves.
The Platform does not pay interest on wallet balances or held escrow funds.
Currency & exchange rates. You may view prices and balances in a display currency of your choice. Conversions shown in the app are calculated at indicative exchange rates and are provided for guidance only. Where a transaction involves currency conversion, the final amount charged or settled is determined by the live exchange rate at the time of payment and may differ from the indicative price displayed. CHECKLL does not control, and is not responsible for, exchange-rate fluctuations, any conversion performed by your bank, card issuer or mobile-money provider, or related conversion fees. By proceeding with a trade or payment, you accept the final converted amount.
Users may list services and products across permitted categories including Crafts & Trades, Engineering, Web & App Development, Design, Agriculture, Food & Beverages, Beauty & Health, Clothing & Fashion, Translation, and Marketing.
A 3% platform fee is deducted from the escrow amount at the time of release (buyer confirmation or force-release). No fee is charged on refunds for cancelled escrows.
The Platform reserves the right to revise fee rates. Changes apply to escrow transactions created after the effective date of the change.
localStorage. CHECKLL does not transmit personal data to any external server.Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your session. There is no account recovery mechanism.
You are the data controller for any personal data you enter about third parties (referees, counterparties). You must have a lawful basis for storing that data.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Trust Scores reflect data inputs only and do not constitute endorsements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHECKLL shall not be liable for losses arising from reliance on a Trust Score, data loss due to browser clearing, failed escrow transactions, or fraudulent conduct by other users.
The Platform reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the Platform operator. CHECKLL's initial market is the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Platform is also used by members of the African diaspora abroad. Where you access the Platform from a country whose laws grant you mandatory consumer-protection rights, those rights also apply to you, regardless of the governing law stated above.
Version 1.0 · Effective 29 May 2026
All intellectual property in the Platform — including its software, source code, design, user interface, the CHECKLL name, logo and branding, and the trust-scoring methodology — is owned by CHECKLL or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
CHECKLL grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform or its data.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (your profile information, photos, documents and the referee information you are authorised to provide). By submitting content you grant CHECKLL a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display that content as necessary to operate the Platform and provide its services, including generating de-identified referee summaries for parties you have authorised. You confirm that you hold all rights and consents required to submit that content.
You may stop using the Platform at any time. However, ending your use does not remove records you can no longer erase under Section 3 (Accountability — your record is permanent).
CHECKLL may suspend, restrict or terminate your access — with or without notice — if you breach these Terms, engage in fraud, abuse or unlawful activity, create risk for other users, or where required to comply with law.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including record retention, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and dispute resolution — continue to apply after your access ends.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CHECKLL, its operators, officers, employees and partners from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, the content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
If a dispute arises between you and CHECKLL, you agree to first attempt to resolve it in good faith by contacting CHECKLL (Section 22) so the parties can seek an amicable solution.
If the dispute is not resolved within a reasonable period, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration or by the competent courts of the seat to be confirmed, under the governing law stated in Section 14. Where permitted by law, you and CHECKLL agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class or representative action. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country.
Disputes about specific ratings or transactions on the Platform are handled through the in-app dispute and appeal process.
CHECKLL is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where the failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, epidemic or pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, failures of power, internet or telecommunications networks, or acts of government or regulatory authorities.
The Platform may integrate with, reference, or link to third-party services and websites, including payment processors and the financial or insurance partners to whom CHECKLL may introduce you. CHECKLL does not control and is not responsible for the content, products, policies or practices of any third party, and your dealings with them are at your own risk and subject to their own terms.
Where CHECKLL introduces you to a financial or insurance provider, it acts solely as an introducer for a flat referral fee. CHECKLL does not provide financial, legal, investment or insurance advice and does not recommend any specific product. Any decision you make with a third-party provider is your own.
CHECKLL processes personal data to operate the Platform. This includes special-category biometric data — the facial-recognition data derived from your selfie — which is used solely to verify that your selfie matches your identity document and to detect duplicate, fraudulent or banned accounts.
CHECKLL relies on your explicit consent and its legitimate interest in preventing fraud as the basis for this processing. Your data is retained for as long as necessary for these purposes and to meet the Platform's accountability and legal obligations. You have rights to access and correct your data, and to object to or request deletion of it, except where retention is required by Section 3 (permanent records) or by law.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards. Full details are set out in CHECKLL's Privacy Policy.
CHECKLL may give you notices through the Platform or using the contact details you provide. You may contact CHECKLL, or raise a complaint, at the contact address published by CHECKLL.
Complaints about specific ratings or transactions should be raised through the in-app dispute process, where they are logged and reviewed.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. CHECKLL's failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
These Terms, together with any policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and CHECKLL regarding the Platform. CHECKLL may assign or transfer these Terms; you may not assign them without CHECKLL's prior written consent. These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights, and section headings are for convenience only.
These Terms may be made available in more than one language for your convenience. If there is any conflict between versions, the English version governs, subject to any mandatory rights under the law of your country.
